Misiorowski Moved to Tears by Young Brewers Fan’s Pennant Celebration

Jacob Misiorowski struggled to hold back his emotions when asked about a young Brewers fan whose celebration of Milwaukee’s pennant had spread across social media. Speaking at World Series Media Day on October 22, the right-hander confirmed that he had watched the video. He described the impact players can have on fans as extraordinary and found it difficult to put his feelings into words. The fan was 13-year-old Samson Herman, who has cerebral palsy. He traveled from the Minneapolis area with his father, David, to watch the Brewers clinch their first World Series appearance in 44 years at Dodger Stadium on October 15. After the game, FOX6 Milwaukee reporter Ted Perry interviewed Samson as his father supported him. Samson’s excitement moved both Perry and cameraman Jake Salzbrunn to tears. Nearby spectators offered tissues as the interview captured a celebration shared across the stands. The footage circulated widely online and inspired two Milwaukee-area business owners to buy World Series Game 2 tickets for Samson and his father. They are scheduled to attend on Saturday, October 24, as the Brewers pursue their first championship. Samson named Misiorowski and Jackson Chourio as his favorite players. A week after the interview, his happiness was still resonating with the people who filmed it—and with one of the players he had traveled to cheer.
