Mintsuku – The Community-Built Collection Encyclopedia (“the Service”) considers the proper handling and protection of users’ personal information and usage information an important responsibility and establishes this Privacy Policy as follows.
1. Information We Collect

- Nickname
- Profile image
- Information about cards, collectibles, merchandise, and other collection items registered or posted by users
- Images uploaded or posted by users
- Comments, trivia, and other user-submitted content
- Information submitted through inquiries or support requests
- Information about items selected for the AI Reference Appraisal feature and the resulting appraisal information
(2) Information Collected Automatically When Using the App
- User identifiers, such as IDs generated through Firebase Authentication
- Device information, such as operating system and device type
- App usage information
- Crash reports, error information, and usage logs
- Technical information necessary to prevent abuse, maintain security, and ensure proper operation of the Service
The Service does not require users to provide information such as their real name, postal address, or telephone number as part of normal use of the Service.
2. Purposes of Use
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the Service
- To provide features for registering, viewing, and managing cards, collectibles, merchandise, and other collection items
- To provide posting, commenting, profile, and related features
- To provide AI Reference Appraisal and other features offered through the Service
- To improve service quality and develop new features
- To provide user support and respond to inquiries
- To prevent and respond to abuse, misconduct, and violations of the Terms of Service
- To maintain security, investigate incidents, and ensure proper operation of the Service
- To comply with applicable laws and other requirements under this Privacy Policy
3. Visibility of User-Submitted Content
Information, images, comments, trivia, and other content relating to cards, collectibles, merchandise, and other collection items registered or posted through the Service may be visible to other users depending on the functionality of the Service.
Please review your content before submitting it and do not include your real name, postal address, telephone number, email address, or other personal information that you do not wish to make public.
Information or features designated as private within the Service will be handled according to the visibility settings applicable to those features.
4. AI Reference Appraisal
The Service may provide an AI-powered reference appraisal feature for cards, collectibles, merchandise, and other collection items registered by users.
When a user chooses to use the AI Reference Appraisal feature, information registered for the selected item may be transmitted to AI services such as ChatGPT provided by OpenAI.
Such information may include:
- Player or team name
- Season or year
- Brand
- Series
- Card number
- Variant
- Category
- Item name
- Comments
- Other registered information necessary to provide the appraisal
The Service is designed not to transmit information unnecessary for the appraisal, such as the user’s real name, email address, or Firebase user ID, as appraisal data to the AI service.
Use of the AI Reference Appraisal feature is optional.
AI Reference Appraisal results are reference information generated based on information registered by the user, AI-based identification and estimation, market information, and other available information.
Actual market prices, transaction prices, or future values may differ significantly due to incomplete or incorrect registered information, AI misidentification, market conditions, item condition, and other factors.
The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, specific transaction price, or future value of any AI Reference Appraisal result.
When AI Reference Appraisal is performed multiple times, the Service may retain and display appraisal history, including reference values, estimated price ranges, appraisal dates, AI identification results, and other appraisal-related information.
Languages, currencies, reference values, and other display methods used by the AI Reference Appraisal feature may be changed or expanded as the Service evolves.
5. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Service will not provide personal information collected from users to third parties without the user’s consent, except where required by applicable law or where another legitimate basis exists.
However, information may be transmitted to external service providers to the extent necessary to provide features of the Service.
Information may also be disclosed where necessary:
- To comply with applicable laws or legal requirements
- To protect the life, physical safety, or property of a person
- To prevent or respond to abuse, misconduct, violations of the Terms of Service, or threats to the safety of the Service
- When operations necessary to provide the Service are entrusted to external service providers

The Service may use external services for authentication, data storage, advertising, AI functionality, and other functions necessary to provide the Service.
Major external services may include:
Firebase (Google LLC)
Firebase may be used for user authentication, data storage, image and file storage, service operations, incident investigation, and other functions necessary to provide the Service.
Google Mobile Ads / AdMob (Google LLC)
Google Mobile Ads / AdMob may be used to display advertisements, provide rewarded advertisements, and support other advertising-related functionality.
OpenAI / ChatGPT (OpenAI)
OpenAI / ChatGPT may be used to provide AI Reference Appraisal and other AI-powered functionality.
When a user chooses to use an AI-powered feature, information about the selected collection item may be transmitted to OpenAI to the extent necessary to provide that feature.
The collection, use, storage, and other handling of information by external service providers may be subject to the terms of service, privacy policies, and other conditions established by those providers.
7. Advertising
The Service may display advertisements using services such as Google Mobile Ads / AdMob.
Certain free features may require users to view rewarded advertisements or other advertisements as a condition of use.
Advertising service providers may collect device information, advertising identifiers, usage information, and other information for purposes such as ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
Please refer to the privacy policies of the relevant advertising service providers for details regarding their handling of information.
8. Paid Plans and In-App Purchases
The Service may offer paid plans and other in-app purchases.
Payments, cancellations, and related transactions are processed through the App Store provided by Apple Inc.
The Service does not directly collect or store payment information such as credit card numbers.
The Service may obtain and verify information necessary to determine subscription status, purchase status, and eligibility for paid features.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
The Service may retain registered information, submitted content, operation history, and other information to the extent necessary to provide the Service, maintain data integrity, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, maintain backups, and support other legitimate operational purposes.
Even after user-submitted content or ownership information is deleted, deleted information or related historical records may be retained for a certain period when necessary for system security, data integrity, abuse prevention, auditing, or other legitimate purposes.
Images and other data may also be physically deleted after a certain period following logical deletion in order to support safe deletion procedures, prevent accidental deletion, enable recovery where appropriate, and fulfill other operational requirements.
10. Security
The Service takes reasonable security measures designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or other improper handling of collected information.
However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Use by Minors
If a minor uses the Service, they should obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian where appropriate.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised as necessary due to changes in applicable laws, additions or modifications to Service functionality, changes to external services used by the Service, or other circumstances.
When material changes are made, we will endeavor to provide notice through the Service, the official website, or another appropriate method.
