The NBA has announced a series of enhanced digital experiences for the 2026-27 season, introducing AI-powered analysis, real-time game features and improved access to live broadcasts across the NBA App, NBA.com and NBA League Pass.
One of the major additions is Game Pulse, a new NBA App feature combining live court visualizations, highlights, player milestones, shot charts and quarter-by-quarter statistics. Fans will be able to follow games in real time and quickly understand key moments and momentum shifts.
The league is also introducing Ask NBA, an AI-powered basketball assistant supported by official NBA data. Fans can ask questions about games, players, statistics and on-court trends to explore deeper insights.
Through NBA Inside the Game powered by AWS, the league will introduce advanced metrics such as Handle Score, which evaluates dribbling moves, and new analysis of zone defense effectiveness. Another AI-powered feature, NBA Blueprint, will generate pregame and postgame reports highlighting important statistical advantages and storylines.
NBA League Pass will receive several viewing enhancements, including Auto-Play Next, which recommends another game after a broadcast ends, and Multiview Focus Mode, allowing fans to prioritize one matchup while watching up to three additional games.
The NBA is also expanding Tap to Watch across TikTok, X, Google and other digital platforms, making it easier to access live games directly from social media content and search results. Daily live warm-up coverage will also be available through the NBA App.
Together, these updates aim to create a more connected, interactive and data-driven experience for basketball fans throughout the season.
