Paul George moved into eighth place on the NBA's all-time three-pointers made list during his Boston Celtics debut against the Detroit Pistons.

George connected on a three-pointer in the second quarter to reach 2,451 career three-pointers, passing Kyle Korver for eighth place. He now trails Reggie Miller, who ranks seventh with 2,560 career three-pointers.

The veteran forward delivered an outstanding performance in his first game with Boston, scoring 17 points in the first half before finishing with 38 points and 5 steals, shooting 12-for-21 from the field.

His 38 points set a new Celtics franchise record for points scored in a team debut, surpassing the previous mark of 30 set by Kristaps Porziņģis in 2023.

George also became the first player since steals became an official NBA statistic in 1973-74 to record at least 35 points and 5 steals in a debut with a new team.

With multiple milestones achieved in one night, George made an impressive start to his new chapter in Boston.
